About University of the Arts London
University of the Arts London (UAL) is a collegiate education institution of higher education in London City. UAL was originally known as the London Institute when it was founded in 1986 as a federation of independent colleges. It was granted degree-awarding authority by the Privy Council in 1988. After receiving university status in 2003, UAL adopted its current name in 2004.
Based on the QS World University Rankings for 2021, UAL ranks second in Art and Design.
University of the Arts London operates its schools at six locations in London, each offering academic, residential, and recreational amenities. International students are offered evening foreign language classes and English language classes at the Language Centre. A variety of food and beverage options are available at the campus’ multiple cafes and canteens. Here, you will find nine art stores which sell fashion, design, and art supplies.
