Nothing is more refreshing than walking into your favourite room with walls that wow! From fabrics to classic moulding, wallpaper to wood panelling, there is a variety that can transform a living space into a peaceful haven, if not truly inspiring or even soul stirring.

Wallpaper

Hand-painted chinoiserie wallpaper can form the perfect, calming backdrop for some heavy antique and ornate furniture. Instead of placing all furniture and effects in a room usually covering the walls, let these beautifully rendered walls be the accent piece. Here the soft, gentle theme of the custom-made wallpaper is a perfect expanse against which the richness of the furniture pieces gets highlighted. Similarly, decorating partitions with the same material, when reinforced by padding, can create an aesthetically appealing sound buffer that reduces ambient noise between rooms.

Wood Panelling

Wood panelling is an elegant finish that adds much warmth. Especially good for cooler climes, the look can be contemporary or traditional depending on the staining, design and spacing of the panelling. White / off white soft furnishing with a pop of bright red or one of the warmer shades can be used to add excitement.

Moulding

Mouldings can turn the ordinary into extraordinary. You can use panel moulding to bring in a luxurious traditional flair. This would depend on the intricacy of the designs within. Plaster
