Architectural design influenced by European and Islamic design

The Taj Mahal Palace Hotel was firstly designed by Indian architects DN Mirza and Sitaram Khanderao Vaidya. Later the project was concluded by the British architect and engineer WA Chambers. This sea-facing hotel structure is assembled on a 40ft-deep foundation. Khansaheb Sorabji Ruttonji Contractor was the builder.
