1. Sabyasachi Mukherjee
This designer does not need any introduction. You might have read or heard about the celebrity like Virat Kohli-Anushka Sharma, Ranveer Singh- Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Copra- Nick Jonas and many more wedding lehengas and saris are from Sabyasachi Mukherjee couture. He is a Kolkata based designer. He describes his designs as “international styling with an Indian soul”. His notable work was visible in the movies like Raavan and Guzaarish. His fashion art is a fusion of styles, vibrant colour palettes and patch-work beaded embellishments.
2. Manish Malhotra
This designer is a synonym to Indian fashion and glam shows. He is one of the most popular and recognized fashion designers in India and abroad. Jean-Claude Van Damme, Reese Witherspoon, Kylie Minogue, and Jermaine Jackson and wife Halima are some of the international celebrity for whom he has designed. One of the major accreditation he holds that he designed the wedding outfits of the Princess of Riyadh and Michael Jackson.
3. Abu Jani & Sandeep Khosla
This fashion designer duo is considered as the oldest and quite well known in the country’s fashion industry. The duo has designed outfits for many celebrity weddings, which later became a rage. 4. Neeta Lulla
This designer’s name is known in every household of India because she has designed for more than three hundred Bollywood movies. She legendary designed two attire for the wedding of Aishwarya Rai Bachhan. Her most notable designed outfit is in the Jodha-Akbar, period epic movie.
5. Ritu Kumar
Her label was launched in 1969. She started her fashion designing studio on the outskirts of Kolkata which has turned into the country’s leading brand ninety-three stores across India. 6. Rohit Bal
This designer is mainly known for the unusual cocktail mix of the Indianism and contemporary art design. His designs draw fantasy, folklore and history to fashion a masterpiece. In 1990 he launched his fashion label. He held fashion shows around the world. He was in a creative partnership with Christian Louboutin, the International shoe designer.
